With the Gelli Arts Photo Transfer Set "Lace Impressions" (21.3 × 14.2 cm), you can create unique image transfers using a Gelli Arts® gel plate. The set includes 20 images that can be transferred onto the gel plate using acrylic paint and then printed onto paper.

The "Lace Impressions" theme features decorative motifs with a lace-like appearance. These detailed patterns are ideal for adding texture and decorative accents to your prints. Use them as a central design or incorporate them into the background, combining different colors and layers for a unique result.

To create an image transfer, first apply a thin, even layer of black acrylic paint to the gel plate. Place your chosen image face-down onto the wet paint and smooth it out gently. Once the paper is removed, the design remains on the gel plate.

Allow the design to dry completely, then roll a thin layer of contrasting acrylic paint over the plate. Place a clean sheet of paper on top, press down evenly, and wait for approximately 10 minutes. Finally, slowly peel the paper away from the gel plate to reveal your transfer.

The "Lace Impressions" images are suitable for gel printing, art journaling, card making, collage, and mixed media projects.

How to create an image transfer

1. Prepare the gel plate: apply a pea-sized amount of black acrylic paint to the Gelli Arts® gel plate.
2. Roll out the paint: spread the paint using a brayer to create a thin, even, and fully opaque layer.
3. Place the image: lay the image face-down onto the wet paint. Gently smooth the paper with your fingers to remove air bubbles. Do not press too hard.
4. Check the transfer: carefully lift a corner to check if the image has transferred properly. Then, remove the paper completely.
5. Let it dry: allow the transferred design to dry completely on the gel plate.
6. Apply the second color: roll a thin, even layer of contrasting acrylic paint over the dry design. Ensure the image remains slightly visible.
7. Make the print: place a clean sheet of paper onto the wet paint and press down firmly and evenly.
8. Wait approximately 10 minutes to allow the paint to dry.
9. Reveal your print: slowly peel the paper off the gel plate to reveal the image transfer.
